Roma

Minottiitalia

2024

Roma is conceived as a composed volume, defined by clarity of line and the measured interplay of solids and voids. Its geometry is rigorous yet never rigid: a compact body resting lightly on a plinth, as if subtly lifted from the floor, allowing the mass to breathe.

The vertical surfaces, doors and sides, are marked by a calibrated geometric pattern that captures light and shadow, transforming the façade into a changing graphic field. It is not ornament, but rhythm: a quiet vibration that gives depth to the essential form.

Two open niches interrupt the solidity of the volume, introducing a theme of aperture and pause. These voids, optionally finished in a contrasting colour, become intimate stages for objects and light. Integrated rechargeable LED elements, activated by discreet motion sensors, emit a soft, adjustable glow, both in intensity and warmth, enhancing the sense of depth and creating subtle luminous hierarchies within the architecture of the piece.

Behind its measured exterior, Roma conceals a functional interior: adjustable shelves and internal drawers articulate storage with precision, maintaining the formal purity of the outer shell.

Crafted in wood agglomerate and available in textured finishes across the full colour range, or in a refined Super Matt lacquer, Roma balances material tactility with chromatic control.

The cabinet is designed to be delivered in three separate elements, a considered study in assembly that simplifies transport without compromising structural integrity, a practical intelligence aligned with its formal clarity.

Roma is not simply a storage unit, but a disciplined architectural gesture: a dialogue between geometry and light, between closure and openness, where subtraction becomes character.
